Prestige is one of the most popular premium Shopify themes, widely used by fashion, luxury, and lifestyle brands. It has strong product page layouts and excellent visual design. Like most Shopify themes, however, it has a limitation when it comes to variant images.
What Prestige Supports Natively
Prestige supports basic variant image switching. When a customer selects a variant, the gallery highlights the assigned image. This works well for stores with one image per variant.
What Prestige Does Not Support Natively
Prestige only supports one image per variant out of the box. If you need to show multiple images per variant, such as a front shot, back shot, lifestyle photo, and detail close-up for each color, Prestige cannot do this on its own.
The full product gallery also stays visible by default. A customer selecting your black colorway will still see images from every other colorway mixed in.
How to Fix This on Prestige
Nova multiple variant images is fully compatible with the Prestige theme. No theme code changes are required.
Once you assign multiple images to each variant inside Nova MVi, Prestige's gallery automatically filters to show only the selected variant's media. The rest stay hidden until a different variant is selected. Nova MVi supports images, videos, and 3D models per variant, all working correctly within Prestige's gallery layout.
Nova MVi has been tested on current versions of the Prestige theme and works without conflicts.
Why This Matters for Prestige theme Users
Prestige is built for brands where visual presentation drives sales. A gold ring and a silver ring should never share the same gallery. Clean per-variant galleries are not optional for premium stores. They are expected.
